DC-Air® WatchDog™

Track every sensor. Protect every investment.

WatchDog turns DC-Air from a wireless sensor into a connected radiology system that tracks itself, reports when it needs attention and logs the numbers that help practices improve.

DC-Air WatchDog dashboard showing sensor status across operatories
Every operatory and sensor in one live dashboard.

The invisible, made visible

Know whether every operatory is ready.

Instead of walking room to room, teams can review sensor connections, docks and last-known location from a shared dashboard. When a sensor is missing, Find My Sensor identifies the last room and workstation where it was active.

01

Live sensor status

See whether each sensor is docked, ready, transmitting, connecting or not connected from one dashboard.

02

Find My Sensor

Review the last-known room across practice workstations when a sensor is not where the team expects it.

03

Proactive alerts

Monitor battery levels, dock connections, Bluetooth links and calibration, with color-coded alerts on the operatory PC, dashboard and by email.

04

Scheduled KPI reporting

Review published imaging volume, image quality, capture timing and daily revenue metrics without building a manual reporting process.

Proactive alerts

Problems find the team before patients do.

WatchDog observes battery levels, dock connections, Bluetooth links and calibration in the background. A sensor left out of its dock produces a warning. A sensor that is out of range and unseen by every dock produces a red alert with its last-known room.

Alerts can appear on the operatory PC, dashboard and by email, then clear when the underlying condition resolves. When intervention is required, the published support workflow allows server-side diagnostics and a remote restart of the local agent.

Self-improvement, automated

KPI logging without another manual report.

The published Advanced view logs X-ray volume by room, image quality, capture-to-received timing and daily revenue by operatory. Historical logs are backfilled during installation so the dashboard begins with an existing usage history.

Teams can choose the metrics, recipients and delivery schedule for an emailed scorecard. This makes it easier to identify slow rooms, recurring retakes and changes in imaging activity without assembling another spreadsheet.

Built for groups

One accountable view across every location.

WatchDog is designed for individual practices, groups and DSOs. Each practice remains isolated at the database level while authorized group leaders can review the broader sensor fleet.

No firewall changes

WatchDog uses outbound-only connections and never opens an inbound network port.

No patient information

The published system tracks hardware serials, timestamps and device status, not patient information or radiographs. Its published program description states that it does not handle PHI and therefore does not require HIPAA certification.

BAA available

The published signup flow includes an electronically signed Business Associate Agreement for the practice compliance file.

Enterprise security

Mandatory two-factor authentication, signed software updates, encryption in transit and at rest, and daily encrypted backups.

How it runs

Local monitoring with secure cloud access.

A lightweight agent reads DC-Air sensor logs on the operatory computers already in the imaging workflow. Account access and the dashboard live in the cloud. WatchDog does not replace the imaging software, does not store radiographs and does not interrupt image acquisition if monitoring is temporarily unavailable.

Protect the system

Pair monitoring with the FTG Protection Plan.

Sensors get dropped, bitten and lost. Without a plan, an accident can mean hourly support, a rented loaner and a new sensor at full retail. The Protection Plan turns that possibility into published, capped terms. WatchDog and the Protection Plan remain independent options.

FTG Protection Plan

$89

per month, per sensor

$1,068 per year

  • Unlimited phone support with no hourly fees
  • A free loaner sensor during service
  • Capped $850 replacement if a sensor is damaged or lost outside the two-year manufacturer warranty
  • Up to two additional replacements per year at $2,999 each, resetting annually

Protection Plan + WatchDog

$99

per month, per sensor

Everything above, plus WatchDog

  • Everything in the Protection Plan
  • Live dashboard across every operatory, plus Find My Sensor
  • Proactive color-coded alerts on the PC, dashboard and by email
  • KPI logging and a scheduled emailed scorecard

WatchDog is also available on its own at $49 per month per office. Plans can begin from the first day of ownership and continue for up to five years. Pricing and replacement terms can change, so FTG will confirm current eligibility and written terms before enrollment.

Questions, answered

How WatchDog fits the imaging workflow.

Do I need WatchDog to get the Protection Plan, or vice versa?

No. The programs are independent. The Protection Plan is $89 per month per sensor. WatchDog monitoring adds $10 per month per sensor for a $99 monthly total. WatchDog can also run without the Protection Plan at $49 per month per office if the practice only wants the dashboard.

Does WatchDog see patient data?

No. WatchDog tracks hardware serials, timestamps and device status, never patient information. The published program description states that it does not handle PHI and therefore does not require HIPAA certification. A Business Associate Agreement is still signed during setup.

Will WatchDog require IT to change our network or firewall?

No. WatchDog makes outbound-only connections and never opens an inbound port, so there is nothing for IT to configure at an individual practice or across a multi-practice group.

What happens if I need more than one replacement in a year?

The first capped replacement is $850. The Protection Plan provides up to two additional replacements at $2,999 each during the same year, with the cycle resetting annually. A free loaner sensor is available while replacement or service is in progress.

How long does the Protection Plan run?

It can begin on the first day of ownership and continue for up to five years. Published pricing is $89 per month per sensor, or $99 per month per sensor with WatchDog included.

Always tracking. Always protected.
