Every dentist has a preferred look for their radiographs. Some like a brighter image, some want heavier contrast, some lean on sharpening to make fine detail pop. The DC-Air® radiograph viewer on our website lets you find that look yourself, on real, unretouched DC-Air® captures.

In the walkthrough below, I demonstrate every tool in the viewer using images from actual DC-Air® users.

What each tool does

  • Brightness and contrast: adjust the overall exposure and tonal separation to your preference. Every change is non-destructive; the source radiograph is never modified.
  • Sharpening: a display-level enhancement. A little goes a long way; too much introduces grain. Because DC-Air® uses Direct CMOS technology, the underlying image is already sharp without enhancement.
  • Zoom and pan: zoom into apical areas, implant sites or bone detail, then drag the image to inspect the exact region you care about.
  • Invert: flip to a negative view, which can make periapical findings and endodontic fills stand out clearly.
  • Reset: one click returns the image and every slider to the starting point.

These are the same sliders as your chairside software

Here is the part most people miss: the sliders in the website viewer are the same adjustments in our DCR TWAIN capture software. When you find a look you like on the website, we can configure your chairside TWAIN to produce exactly that, so every image you capture comes up matching your preference from day one.

Open the radiograph viewer, dial in your preferred look, and use the “Send my settings” option to share it with us. We’ll take it from there.
